Markero Chat for Android is a thin native wrapper around the same end-to-end encrypted web client, with native push notifications. Messages and files are encrypted on the device before they reach the server.

Install

1. Download MarkeroChat-v1.4.apk.
2. Open the downloaded file. Android may ask you to allow installing apps from your browser or file manager for this install.
3. Install, open Markero, and create a username-only account or sign in.
4. Optionally enable TOTP two-factor authentication in the account settings.

Requirements and limitations

• Android 6.0 or newer; target SDK 36.
• An internet connection; push notifications require Google Play services and FCM.
• The Play Store listing may lag behind the APK version. The APK on this page is v1.4.
• No third-party audit yet; use Signal if your threat model requires a mature, audited messenger.
